Yesterday, I had a birthday party for my son. A lot of the food was already prepared because I didn't feel like going to a lot of effort, but I did make my own sauce for the cocktail weenies. I made a glaze of butter, honey, and brown sugar. Everyone loved them!
;D

Soup was great even if I did let it sit for an hour in a cold crock pot because I forgot to plug it in.

Tonight I made chicken cordon bleu and steamed broccoli. Also had some yummy hawaiian sweet rolls with them. I need to learn to bake something like that.

Man the chicken fell apart in my chicken cacciatore It was delicious but not the way I wanted it to be presented. Needed a bit more wine too I think.

Yeah. I do. It's easier to put dinner together when my son is at school. I tend to use it in spurts.

Last night it was a hamburger macaroni casserole with a bread crumb crust. Tonight. . .it might just be pizza. I don't know.

Turkey breast tenderloin. Potatoes, carrots, and onions tossed in olive oil w/ minced garlic and a dash of rosemary and sage. The sugar from the carrots caramelized giving off the most delicious flavor.
I also made a cake and made my own chocolate frosting. I didn't have any powdered sugar, so I put the sugar in my magic bullet to make my own. It was a wee bit grainy, so I decided to put the frosting on the warm cake, turning it into more of a glaze. Very good.

I'm going to be blowing up this thread at some point. A couple days ago I froze some strawberries in organic lemon juice and raw cane sugar syrup and I am going to make my own waffle topping with it.
